Dr. Rohan Devanpalli received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from NTR University of Health Sciences in India. Before residency, he briefly pursued his master’s in Cellular and Molecular biology at Eastern Michigan University and Minnesota State University. He subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Oakland, Michigan followed by a fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, where he served as a chief fellow and was presented with the Outstanding Fellow Award.
Dr. Devanpalli practiced hospital medicine before pursuing nephrology. He was affiliated with the Mercy Health System during his tenure as a Hospitalist.
He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and scored highly on both certification exams. His professional affiliations are the NKF (National Kidney Foundation), ASN (American Society of Nephrology), and the AMA (American Medical Association).
His interests include AKI (acute kidney injury), CKD (chronic kidney disease) care, kidney stone prevention, and home dialysis modalities.
As a specialist in the field of nephrology, Dr. Devanpalli is passionate about helping patients improve their kidney health. He finds it rewarding to work with patients and their families in navigating their medical journey. Patient-centered, Dr. Devanpalli prides himself on his ability to create programs for patients that best suit them to achieve and maintain their health goals.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Devanpalli enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and cooking.
